  Frequently Asked Questions

1) What is better? "pop up" infloor cleaning heads or vacuum system?
Both systems are designed to keep your pool clean, if installed right they will both do a wonderful job. Where the major differences lie are cost and aesthetics. The infloor system is more costly to install initially then the vacuum system, however it is the consensus that the infloor is more appealing then the vacuum. The vacuum will require more maintenance then the infloor in the future but is much more cost effective at time of purchase. One thing to consider with a pool built by legacy Pools if you choose an infloor system you will get a professionally designed system that comes with a 99% clean guarantee, a lifetime warrantee on the infloor heads, and all our infloor pools will be plumbed with the designated vacuum line. So you get the best of both worlds. If you choose a vacuum system you will get only the best "Polaris" we use the Polaris 340 suction side vac it is the fastest most powerful vac on the market. It is user friendly, compact and stylish, and will give you problem free service for years to come.
2) How long does it take to build a pool?
Every pool is different however most pools will be completed in 4-6 weeks most companies will quote 3-4 weeks some even two but we don't like to slop through our work and we don't make false promises.
3) What phases does your company perform?
We do the following phases in house: decking, tile, waterfeatures, interior pool finishes, masonry and start up. Our crews are skilled professionals, they take pride in their work and care about our company so you can be confident that you will get a quality job. Every person on our crews has been working for our company for 5 years or more, not many companies can say that with the high turnover rate in the industry. we take care of our guys and in turn they take care of us. We have built lasting friendships with our crews and it is that relationship that allows them to feel part of our business not as a worker but as a partner working together to bring you a quality pool.
4) Who do I deal with when my pool begins?
You will always have contact with your salesman, our sales team doesn't forget about you after they have picked up their commission check.(IN FACT OUR SALES TEAM DOESN'T WORK ON COMMISSION SO YOU WONT GET SOLD SOMETHING YOU DON'T NEED JUST SO THEY GET MORE MONEY) They are available for questions, help in decision making, and any thing else that may arise. In fact we have made more friends with our customers and have been to more BBQs then we can count. In addition to your salesman Feel confident that during your pool construction you will deal directly with myself "John" or "Joe" the owners of the company. We are here even after the 5 o'clock whistle blows and it's time to clock out, we know you have a busy schedule and people work till late, an since most work will be preformed while you are at work yourself you may have questions when you get home. That is why we have the phone is always on policy. So you can reach us when you need to, not our answering machine and should you reach the machine be assured that you will get a call back as soon as humanly possible.

Pool is excavated and laid out 6" larger than the finish dimensions in all directions. Forming material will be placed around the excavation of your pool or spa. This feature is to ensure a 6" X 12" bond beam. Removal of dirt will be done the day of excavation. If you need extra dirt for landscaping, please be present to direct the placement of the dirt. Any dirt left will be your responsibility to either use or dispose of. You will need to sign the plan for the amount of dirt.

IF THE DOUBLE GATE IS THE ONLY ACE SS TO THE BACKYARD, ONE SIDE MUST BE SELF-CLOSING AND SELF-LATCHING AND THE OTHER SIDE MUST LOCK DOWN INTO THE GROUND. ALL GATES MUST OPEN OUTWARDS.

IMPORTANT NOTE: NOT ALL CITIES FOLLOW THE SAME CRITERIA FOR POOL BARRIER REQUIREMENTS. PLEASE FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH YOUR CITIES REQUIREMENTS.
PHASE 15 - PRE-PLASTER INSPECTION
This inspection by the city will require that all of the barrier requirements be met prior to scheduling. Someone will need to be present at the time of the inspection so that the city may confirm that the requirements in the house are met and approved. Please call us with the results of this inspection, as it will be helpful in moving the construction along without delays.
PHASE 16 - INTERIOR FINISH
PLASTER-Two coats pneumatically applied white marble dust and riverside whit cement. Plaster is hand troweled to a non-slip waterproof surface. Once the plaster is complete, the crew will begin filling the pool and/or spa and you must have a hose available for them. DO NOT TURN OFF THE WATER WHILE FILLING YOUR POOL.(Bath tub ring may result). Fill your pool half way up the skimmer. DO NOT STOP FILLING UNTIL POOL IS FULL!!!!

PEBBLE FINISH- This is a two (2) day process. The first day the Pebble Finish will be shot onto the shell of the pool, the second day they will return and acid wash the pool. Once the acid wash is complete, the crew will begin filling the pool and/or spa and you must have a hose available for them. There will be a slurry pit left in your yard for about four days, it needs to sit and harden and will be removed at that time.
PHASE 17 - START-UP
When the pool is complete and filled to the proper level, we will start your pool up. At this time we will start all the equipment and install the cleaning system. The explanation and the demonstration will take approximately one hour. It is important that someone is home to receive these instructions. Enjoy your new Legacy pool.
6) Can we put the pool into our mortgage even if we don't use our builder's pool company?
Yes we do whats called an escrow hold back for the pool. We have an agreement with you and the bank the same as the builder's pool company, we began construction right you close on your house, and when we are complete we are paid by the bank. This is a great way to get more pool for your money, especialy since mortgage rates are so low.
